Valentine's Day

Oh my... it's been ages since I updated this blog. I am terribly sorry. Ever since I got back to Jakarta, everything just kind of go in super fast pace. Just like the city. For almost 3 years I lived in Chiang Mai where everything is kind of slow and feels laid back, getting back in the mega city has not been easy at all. Though I am entering my 3rd year here, I found it very hard still to find things that I enjoy here (besides friends and family of course). Today is Valentine's Day. For a single girl like me it doesn't feel any different than any other day to be honest. But with the social media and peer pressure on single girl in her late 20s, today can be a tough day to face. I say goodbye to dating a long time ago, I used to date when I was in High School but not anymore since then. I have decided to follow God's calling and took the harder road in leaving home and study as well as serving others in the other side of the world. Many of you are familiar with my s

Leaving Thailand

Greetings! In January 2014 I will be ending my term as a missionary in Thailand and will be going home to Jakarta, Indonesia . The ministry that I work with in Chiang Mai is bearing a lot of fruits and things are going really well, but I feel like Indonesia is where the Lord is taking me for this next season. Jakarta, Indonesia, my home, I never thought that God will ever call me back home. When I give my life to serve in the mission field 7 years ago, I never thought that this will happen. But God really is calling me to go back home . And it was as clear as it can be to me. The ministry that I am doing with the youths here are flourishing, the Lord have blessed us so much this past two years, we were able to see growth, new believers and new thing in the Thai churches. But when I spoke with my dad (my senior pastor in Jakarta) couple of months back, he told me that the youth back in my church is falling apart. Ever since I left home, things are ju

Healing and God's Greatness

Hello lovely people! This season has been so full of surprises, one of them is a healing miracles that happened to me. Ministries have been going really great with the youths, we had a sleepover together in my house, Bible study and serving with the worship team is always fun. Here's a few pictures from the latest activities.  Sharing at the Junior High camp Visiting the orphanage at Mae Kha Chan iServe event that involved more than 5000 youths in Chiang Mai Serving in the worship team Water baptism for one of my girls Staff summer retreat last March   And this is the story about my miraculous healing:    For 2 years I have a small bump in my right hand. I went to the doctor and they said that it was a cyst - a type of hand cancer which is not dangerous, but should be taken out if it grew and start hurting. I plan to do the surgery to take it out sometime soon because it had grown bigger and it started to hurt. But one time, we had a pra

The big 21k

That was probably one of the craziest decision I have ever made. But I don't regret it at all. It really changed my life. I have been a regular runner, but we are talking about 2-3 miles run and nothing close to 13 miles. So this is a big journey that I want to share with all of you guys of how I feel and of how I learned so much from it. The story began 12 weeks ago. I decided to go through a training for a half marathon and sign up for the race. With 3 months preparation, I thought I should be able to nailed it. Grant and Andrew, my friends from the States decided to join in the fun (which I am really glad and thankful). So it begins. It was a great 12 weeks of training, it's not perfect by any means, but I said we did a pretty good job getting ourselves awake on 6:45 am almost everyday and follow through our running plan. But let me tell you, without those guys, I probably have quit a long time ago. So every week, we are getting stronger and stronger. We were keeping
